When Talking Heads sang 'we're on a road to nowhere' back in the 1980's, everyone danced along merrily. Since then lead singer David Byrne has galvanised his place in rock history but also proven his metal with regards to enlightening the human condition. Where Are We Going?

I noticed myself striding along the pavement today, taking huge, great steps, pacing fervently to get to my destination. My mind was elsewhere, totally caught up in the need to get to where I was as quickly as possible. Once I checked in with myself and slowed myself back down to a normal and enjoyable pace, a sense of calmness came over me. I began to enjoy the walk. I began to notice more of the things around me.  Slowing down doesn't stop you from doing what you were doing, or getting there that much faster either, but it does give you back to yourself so that you can enjoy the whole experience so much more.
